It's a question seemingly as old as the story of Judah Macabee: Why, oh why, can't we Jews have some hip music to help us get into the spirit of the Hanukkah season? I'm not talking "Dreidel Dreidel Dreidel" or anything sappy like that, but something upbeat and poppy to groove to as we wrap presents, gobble down some gelt or fry up some latkes.

JVibe decided it was time to provide you with some hot and current news on our past cover girls/guys, as well as the stars we feature in our Pop Life interviews. Since JVibe gets the first scoop on young stars like our Jan/Feb coverguy Joe Trohman from Fall Out Boy and March/April's Sara Paxton, we want to keep you updated on their success!

Matisyahu's (Truth, May/June 2006) new album No Place to Be comes out in stores on December 26th. The disc contains 7 new songs and includes a Live in Israel DVD that was shot in Tel Aviv in December, 2005. Matisyahu will also be performing "The First Annual Festival of Light" concert series at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this winter. He will be joined by his band, Roots Tonic, with a different opening act each night on Dec. 16, 17 & 19.
