Adam's Vibe March 2007

JVibe decided it was time to provide you with some hot and current news on our past cover girls/guys, as well as the stars we feature in our Pop Life interviews. Since JVibe gets the first scoop on young stars like our Jan/Feb coverguy Joe Trohman, we want to keep you updated on their success! Then, when they become as huge as past cover-celebs like Natalie Portman and Zach Braff (don't worry, we've got them covered, too), you can say you saw it back in the day when JVibe got the story. In this corner of our Pop Culture section, Adam will always be here with Adam's Vibe on the Jews you love most.

Zach Braff's (Take Action, September/October 2005) recently attended the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 15th in Los Angeles and lost out to Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role, Musical or Comedy. Braff is not sure yet whether his hit comedy show Scrubs will return for another season after this year, but he has been tagged to direct a new movie called Open Hearts, which is scheduled to begin production in late 2007. Braff has also been rumored to star in a remake of the comedy classic Fletch, although plans for that movie have yet to be finalized. For Zach's latest info check out his blog at www.zachbraff.com.

Adam Brody's (Truth, January/February 2006) newest movie, In the Land of Women, a romantic comedy about a man who gets dumped by the love of his life and escapes to suburban Michigan to care for his ailing grandmother, is set for theatrical release on April 20th. The movie co-stars Meg Ryan in her first major movie role in over two years. Brody's other new movie, The Ten, a short story spoof of the Ten Commandments, earned an Official Selection Award from the Sundance Film Festival this past January and will screen at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March. The Ten is set for nationwide release on August 3rd, 2007.

Matisyahu's (Truth, May/June 2006) album Youth lost out to Ziggy Marley's Love is My Religion for Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards on February 11th. But as you can see from the JVibe Music Awards winners, he snagged two prizes from us. For more info on Matisyahu's upcoming album news and tour dates, go to www.matismusic.com.

Ethan Zohn (Misfit Issue, February/March 2005) and his girlfriend (and fellow Survivor winner) Jenna Morasca were named two of the top 10 “Survivors” by MSN.com. The pair recently appeared on VH1's Celebrity Paranormal Project and in an ad for PETA, in which they both posed almost nude. For Ethan's latest updates and info go to his blog at www.ezohn.com.

Natalie Portman (Love/Sex Issue, June/July 2005) recently appeared as a guest voice on The Simpsons in an episode called “Little Big Girl” which aired on February 11th. The episode saw Portman's character act as Bart's love interest after he was given a driver's license by the city of Springfield and acted as if he were a 16-year-old teenager. Portman is also rumored to be starring in the newest installment of Indiana Jones, which could be in pre-production sometime in 2007.

Joe Trohman (Relationships, January/February 2007) and his band Fall Out Boy's newest album Infinity on High is out and available in stores.
