Adam's Vibe September 2007

JVibe decided it was time to provide you with some hot and current news on our past cover girls/guys, as well as the stars we feature in our Pop Life interviews. Since JVibe gets the first scoop on young stars like our Jan/Feb coverguy Joe Trohman from Fall Out Boy, we want to keep you updated on their success! Then, when they become as huge as past cover-celebs like Natalie Portman and Zach Braff (don't worry, we've got them covered, too), you can say you saw it back in the day when JVibe got the story. In this corner of our Pop Culture section, Adam will always be here with Adam's Vibe on the Jews you love most.

Mila Kunis' (Personal Satisfaction, November/December 2005) newest movie, Moving McAllister, is set to be released in theaters on September 14th. Kunis plays a wealthy boss' daughter who embarks on a cross-country road trip to Los Angeles with a nutty passenger (Jon Heder) and a young man who is trying to make it big in the law industry (Ben Gourley).

Adam Brody's (Truth, January/February 2006) newest movie, The Ten, co-starring Jessica Alba, Paul Rudd, Famke Jansen, Winona Ryder, Gretchen Mol and others, was released in theaters nationwide on August 3rd to mixed reviews from critics. The movie is a short story spoof of each of the Ten Commandments with Rudd acting as the narrator/host of the stories. Brody plays a guy who falls out of a plane and becomes an accidental hero and cultural icon. The Ten was directed by David Wain of Wet Hot American Summer fame and the music for the movie was done by Craig Wedren (Journeys, May/June 2007). For more information on where The Ten is playing locally in your area, check out this link on the movie's website:      http://www.thetenmovie.com/a4_listings.php.

Greg Grunberg (Truth, January/February 2006 and online) who plays Matt Parkman on the hit NBC show Heroes, is currently in post-production in a movie called Magic, a family drama from USA Pictures. Grunberg is also set to resume his popular role on Heroes starting this fall.

Josh Miller (Health, October/November 2006) was recently released from the New England Patriots after more than three years as a member of the team. The team released 37-year-old Miller on August 16th to pave the way for younger punters to compete for the job. Miller was limited to 10 games in 2006 because of a shoulder injury and entered training camp this summer in a fight for his job despite his veteran status. According to the Boston Globe, salary considerations were a factor in the decision to release him.

Miri Ben-Ari (Pride, March/April 2007) has recently updated music on both her MySpace site (www.myspace.com/miribenari) and on iTunes, where she has loaded her newest single, “Symphony of Brotherhood.” For more information on the hip-hop violinist, go to her website at www.miribenari.com.

Jamie Lynn-Discala (Friendship, December 2004/January 2005) is working on a new movie called New York City Serenade, a story of two down on their luck childhood friends struggling to figure out their lives. The movie co-stars Chris Klein and Freddie Prinze, Jr. and is currently in post-production.

Emmanuelle Chriqui (Remembrance, March/April 2006) is currently in post-production on a movie called Patriotville, co-starring Justin Long (Live Free or Die Hard) and Rob Corddry (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip).
