With all the hype about Kanye West’s new album, Graduation, I’ve recently been listening to a lot of his old stuff. I was attached to the background violinist in “Jesus Walks” and “The New Workout Plan,” as well as in Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity.” I was pleasantly surprised to find out Miri Ben-Ari, an Israeli, Grammy Award-winning, classically trained violinist, is to thank for the crazy classical beats. How cool is it that one of the hottest rappers out there today has recognized one of our very own?!
