A lot of Jews are boycotting ZARA because of a bag they produced with swastikas emblazoned on it.
Will you boycott ZARA? How do you feel about this public act of anti-Semitism?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

i think that the swastica on the bags were probably unintentional, and its not something that i really take offense to, because i think there was no harm meant by it. I think it is just really embarrassing for ZARA to have made such a ridiculous mistake and that the negative publicity that they will and have gotten through the media is well waranted, but not something that people should dwell on.
Here's some background info on Zara:
It's actually a Spanish company with 1,026 stores in 68 countries, including Israel.
Here's some info from a blog post I found about the bag (http://www.bagsnob.com/2007/09/zara_swatsika_bag.html):
Author Linda Grant sent me the photo and article from The Daily Mail with this quote:
"Perhaps not the bag to take to the synagogue for the Day of Atonement. I do realise that the swastika predates the Nazi party as an ancient Hindu and Buddhist symbol of peace and prosperity, but in Europe and America it means fascism and genocide and it’s astonishing that nobody at Zara’s HQ in Madrid picked up on it. I hope this bag didn’t make it to Zara’s Tel Aviv store."
And here's the September article from The Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article....
It looks like the bag was pulled from shelves and Zara claims the symbols on it were unintentional.

Isn't that an Israeli store? If so, I am more disgusted. I don't see a reason to make a bag like this in the first place? Who owns the chain?
