Find out which Jewish actors, directors and other Hollywood big-wigs are starring in this summer's hugest hits.

As most of you know, there is one person in every crowd who seems to always know which new actors are Jewish. And even if you roll your eyes at this person's seemingly obsessive knowledge, there's a little piece of you that makes a mental note to self and stores the info in your own brain. Well, here's your chance to know even earlier which actors in which upcoming summer flicks are Jews (all their names are in capital letters below).

July 2:

"Spiderman II." Spiderman, the famous comic book character, was created by STAN LEE and the late JACK KIRBY. The Spidy films are directed by SAM RAIMI. Pretty actress ELIZABETH BANKS repeats her role as "Betty Brant." Ms. Banks converted to her husband's Jewish faith last year and their Jewish wedding was featured in "InStyle" magazine. Also in Spiderman is handsome young actor JAMES FRANCO, who plays "Harry Osborn," the best friend of Spiderman (Tobey Macguire). Franco is Jewish on his mother's side.

"De-Lovely" is a bio-pic about the late popular composer Cole Porter. It stars KEVIN KLINE as Porter. (Kline is Jewish on his father's side.) It is directed by IRWIN WINKLER. Rocker MICK HUCKNALL, best known as the leader of "Simply Red," has a supporting role. Hucknall is Jewish on his mother's side.

July 9th:

The comedy "Anchorman ," starring Will Ferrell opens. PAUL RUDD (best known as the guy who married LISA KUDROW---"Phoebe" of "Friends"---last season) co-stars. Also in the cast is MAYA RUDOLPH, a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Rudolph is Jewish on her father's side.

"Sleepover "---a teen comedy/drama opens. The only Jewish cast member we are "sure about"in this group of mostly newcomer actors is JEFF GARLIN. He is best known for his role as LARRY DAVID's agent in the HBO series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Aerosmith: Drummer Joey Kramer is Jewish.

Avril Lavigne: Guitar player Evan Taubenfeld is Jewish

Barenaked Ladies: Guitarist/singer/composer Steven Page is Jewish.

David Bowie: Bowie's top keyboard player for decades is Mike Garson, who speaks fluent Hebrew.

Norah Jones band: Norah Jones is not Jewish. However, her guitar player Adam Levy is and has contributed songs to Jones' latest CD Feels like Home.

Bob Dylan: Jewish.

Maroon 5: Lead singer/songwriter Adam Levine is Jewish.

Incubus: Guitarist Mike Einziger is Jewish.

Linkin Park: Guitarist Brad Delson and drummer Rob Bourdon are Jewish.

Phish: Final concert tour. Bassist Mike Gordon and drummer Jon Fishman are Jewish.

Rush: The famous Canadian trio includes bassist Geddy Lee, the son of Holocaust survivors. The band includes in its 30th anniversary tour a song on the Holocaust written by Lee.

Simon and Garfunkel ---the legendary duo of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are nice Jewish boys from Queens, N.Y.

The Strokes: Guitarist Nick Valensi is Jewish.

Special note: Madonna and Britany Spears are on tour this summer. While both are involved in "celebrity Kabbalah"studies----and Madonna now wants friends to call her "Esther"----neither have converted to Judaism and what they "practice"cannot be called Judaism, even by the most liberal standards of defining Jewish religious practice.

July 16:

"I, Robot," a sci-fi thriller opens. It is based on a novel by the late ISSAC ASIMOV and the screenplay is by AKIVA GOLDSMAN, who won an Oscar for "A Beautiful Mind." It co-stars SHIA LABEOUF, who celebrates his 18th birthday in July. Labeouf is best known as the star of TV's "Even Stevens." He is Jewish on his mother's side and was a bar mitzvah.

"Door in the Floor" is an adult-oriented film about a troubled marriage. Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger star. MIMI ROGERS, a very talented actress who is Jewish on her father's side, has a large supporting role.

July 23rd:

"Catwoman" is based on the famous character in the Batman comics. All the Batman characters were created by the late BOB KANE. Halle Berry stars as Catwoman. ALEX BORSTEIN, a very funny actress best known for being on "MADTV.," has a large supporting role.

July 30:

"Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle," opens. Here's the publicity release description: "Two twenty-something stoner roommates -- one a Korean American investment banker; the other an Indian American medical school candidate -- go through a life changing journey, as they spend a night roaming the state of New Jersey in search of White Castle hamburgers." Funny young actor DAVID KRUMHOLTZ has a supporting role.

"Garden State" is an interesting comedy/drama about a young man who returns home for a funeral after being away for ten years. It was written, directed, and co-stars ZACH BRAFF, best known as the star of TV's "Scrubs." It co-stars NATALIE PORTMAN, who is now famous for her roles in the last two "Star Wars"pictures. (Veteran actor RON LEIBMAN has a supporting role.)

Braff needed a big name like Portman to get somebody to put up the money to get his movie made. He sent the script to Portman, who liked it, and agreed to co-star. Braff was thus able to get financing for his film.

Portman finished her Harvard studies early this year (she had enough credits to graduate by January, 2004). Therefore, she had just enough time to make the flick before she started making another Star Wars movie. "Garden State" opened to great reviews at film festivals and now it is being released everywhere.

"The Village" is a big-budget horror/thriller. It co-stars ADRIEN BRODY, who won the Oscar for "The Pianist."(Brody is Jewish on his father's side.) Young actor JESSE EISENBERG has a supporting role. Jesse's sister is cute young actress HALLIE KATE EISENBERG.

Finally, there is "The Manchurian Candidate." This thriller is a re-make of a 1962 film of the same name. In this update, an American soldier is kidnapped during the first Iraq war and brainwashed. It co-stars the talented and handsome LIEV SCHREIBER, who is Jewish on his mother's side and identifies as Jewish.
