Each month, Adam brings you hot and current news on our past cover girls/guys, as well as the stars we feature in our PopLife interviews. Since JVibe gets the first scoop on young stars like our Jan/Feb cover guy Joe Trohman from Fall Out Boy and March/April's Sara Paxton, we want to keep you updated on their success! Then, when they become as huge as past cover-celebs like Natalie Portman and Zach Braff (don't worry, we've got them covered, too), you can say you saw it back in the day when JVibe got the story. In this corner of our Pop Culture section, Adam will always be here with Adam's Vibe on the Jews you love most. (And if you've missed seeing them in print, subscribe now to JVibe magazine.)

Boston Red Sox first-baseman Kevin Youkilis (Take Action, September/October 2005) and his fiancée, Enza Sambataro, were recently featured in the Living Arts section of the Boston Globe, profiling their relationship and potential upcoming nuptials, with the official date yet-to-be determined. Sambataro is the former girlfriend of Ben Affleck, whom she briefly dated in 2004 after Affleck and Jennifer Lopez split. Sambataro is in charge of Youkilis’s Hits for Kids (www.youkskids.org), a fledgling foundation that benefits community-based children’s charities and medical research programs in New England and Cincinnati, Youkilis’s hometown. In the same issue and section of the Globe was an interview with Guster member Adam Gardner (Truth, May/June 2006) and his Hanukkah band The LeeVees, which played at Boston’s Symphony Hall on December 12 as part of the famous Boston Pops holiday fundraiser. In the extensive interview, Gardner remarked that he formed The LeeVees with his buddies Dave [Schneider] LeeVee, Shawn [Fogel] LeeVee, Shank Bone Mystic and Michael LeeVee because “we [all] felt that there was a serious lack of good songs for [Hanukkah], and certainly none that kids could rock out to.” He also said that one of his favorite Jewish rock bands is The Ramones, and the LeeVees’ song “Gelt Melts” was their attempt to be Ramones-esque. Read the full interview with Gardner here.

Mila Kunis (Personal Satisfaction, November/December 2005) recently came out with Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding, a movie based on the cult off-Broadway play. Co-starring Joey McIntyre and Adrian Grenier, the movie chronicles the life of Tony and Tina, a couple from Queens, N.Y. who have just tied the knot, and their subsequent dealings with meddling family members, their priest, the wedding singer and their photographer. The movie was released on a limited basis on November 30 to tepid reviews from fans and critics. Check out the movie’s official website at www.tonyandtinasweddingthemovie.com for more information.

Ethan Zohn (Misfit Issue, February/March 2005) has recently updated his Grassroots Soccer website and blog and is raving about the organization’s recent success in the fight against AIDS in South Africa. Check out the progress at www.ezohn.com.

Kali’s Kibbitzing

Associate Editor Kali D. Foxman brings you her favorite “news” of the month.

Hills hysteria
MOTs James Franco and Mila Kunis (our very own cover girl!) star in this hilarious spoof of the hit MTV reality show The Hills. This short video is sure to make you laugh, whether you’re a die-hard Hills fan or not.

Hanukkah in Hollywood
Tabloid favorite Nicole Richie poses with some of her more observant fans recently while shopping in Hollywood. She’s not Jewish—but at least she knows what a menorah is.

Keeping kosher
Ever heard of The Prime Grill restaurant? Neither had we. This kosher steakhouse has two restaurants in New York City and opened a new location in Los Angeles last year. And it’s become über-popular with Jewish and non-Jewish celebs like Colin Farrell, Paris Hilton and Sacha Baron Cohen. If you’re looking for a taste but don’t have the travel budget, you can order (or ask your parents to, since it’s kinda pricy!) kosher steaks, burgers, beef jerky and duck spring rolls directly from the restaurant chain at www.primegrilldirect.com.

Israeli body armor
Britney Spears recently used the help of a former Mossad agent to brave the celeb-hungry paparazzi in Hollywood. Bet agent Aaron Cohen didn’t see this coming when he left Israel.

Christian converts?
Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, showed a little Hanukkah spirit recently when they lit a giant menorah in London.
