Sacha Baron Cohen's (Misfit Issue, February/March 2005) uproarious new movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan took in $67.8 million in its first two weeks of release and was the No. 1 movie in the country over that time. Two of the people Cohen encountered in the movie–fraternity members who made insulting comments about women and minorities– are suing 20th Century Fox and three production companies. Their lawsuit claims that a production crew took them to a bar before participating in what they were told would be a documentary to be shown outside of the United States, and that they signed waivers after drinking heavily at the bar.
Smooth Feather Productions is producing a short film called Lusaka Sunrise that features Ethan Zohn's (Misfit Issue, February/March 2005) Grassroot Soccer program in action.
